Oh cool you haul the mail that means you bring me my bills. Have you ever been to the Cleveland, Ohio regional postal sorting facility on Orange Ave in down town Cleveland? That's where all my mail comes from.
From what I've seen the local mail haulers have equipment that's not anywhere nice as what your looking for. Pretty sure Kuchenrither has decided that there never up dating there fleet again! Ha-ha.Bfr38 Thanks this. -
Lmao, I have been there a couple times. N they park there trucks where I work at.

Off topic here but... what kinda money is in pullin mail? Just curious
-
I usually get around $3 to $5 per mile. Anywhere from 40k to 45k loads, mainly inserts. The loads I take are usually short 200 mile runs to get me into a good area instead of dead-heading. I'm sure this isn't typical tho, and it's not what I haul full-time.
flatbeb mac Thanks this. -

Sorry, I'm late at getting back to you. I drive for a company. I make 20.70 a hour plus 5 dollars on the hour goes toward retirement, healthcare. My buddy was hauling from Columbus, OH to pretty much Knoxville, TN. One trip a day which was illegal honestly, but that aside he owned his own truck and was making 16,800 a month! I will do the math. He was paid 700 a trip. He ran six days a week. 6x7= 4200 a week. Times that by 4 and you get 16,800. There can def be good money in it. He was giving me 300 cash to run it.flatbeb mac Thanks this.

@Bfr38
Is that drop/hook or Do you need a trailer for mail gig? -
He was talking about 200 mile runs. What is so great about $3-$5 a mile on a 200 mile run? The $5 a mile one on 200 miles is a decent load for a day buy nothing extraordinary. I agree with you those newspaper insert loads are normally cheap but when it's a week or so before Black Friday, or Christmas, or New Year's or any big holiday really if everyone else is busy they will pay way over the top rates to get those inserts moved. That stuff is time critical and must get covered. I never quote any of it low but most of the year they can easily cover it cheap.Ruthless Thanks this.
