Sent for random drug screening while off duty

Any decent carrier would send you prior to going on duty or right after you return to the terminal. In case you’re OTR they can wait until you return to your home. Log it or not I won’t tell anyone..

Remeber, the carrier has 3 months wiggle room to send you.

I once got sent for a random while on my way to a delivery and it was a huge pia because the carrier waited until the last minute to notify me.

I had to find a place near Birmingham to test out midday on a Saturday! Ended up having to drop my loaded reefer in a truck stop and bobtail to some small hole in the wall place…looked like a fool driving my tractor there.

 

I’m guessing that you were in a SAP program and the observation was necessary since you don’t have an issue with it.

Obviously your issue is with the fact no one was paying you for the inconvenience of keeping your credentials in tact.

 

No I'm a stallion, been to the county more the once and spread wide. Not a big deal.

Don't see what the big issue is with guys getting stage fright over something so stupid that could cost you a job or career.

Never answer the phone when off duty and you won't have that problem.
