From this description and what you have said about drinking I can only conclude that you said way to much during your physical. You either told them that you drink a lot or somthing that raised an eyebrow about how much you drink. Then seeing the medicine and it's description they put that you could drink more from being depressed. Out her trucking I guess you could get depressed, drink in the truck, drive, and because of that they disqualified you because of safety in their eyes but said it was medical to cover their ###.
thats what I can say that's a possibility. Don't take my word for it. My best wishes to you and I hope this all gets taken care of! I'll say a prayer for you

Thanks, yeah I can see their point of view in covering their rear, just seeing if there is a better way to go about still pursuing a trucker career. -
Chances are your next company will want you to have something also faxed from your doctor. So first talk to the company then go see your doctor and have them fax whatever your company requests. If you wait till you get to school it could be hrs to days before your doctor responds.

Yea go to either a accredited school. Get a bunch of pre-hires. Research research research and try to get a few goals of what you want to do in the trucking industry. Get a medical card. DR. Might ask you do you do drugs? NO. Do you Drink? Couple maybe 1-3 in a week. Done. Do you have depression? I did but with my medication I'm clear of it and have been treated with no issues for this many months years. Done. have a piece of paper work that states your physically and mentally cleared to drive a CMV from your primary physician and be done with it.

I thought about this, there is a well reviewed school just down the road in Drumright, OK. Don't want to pay for it if this is going to be an issue that keeps coming up, guess I could call them and a DOT doc and see what they say. Thanks for all the responses so far, darn helpful. -
You don't need a DOT Doc you can go to a chiropractor or anyone certified. Go to a Clinic as long as they drug test and send it out I think they are certified. Call around ask if they are a certified DOT physical exam practice. That's all you need.
