Sent home from SWIFT school

I was kicked out of Swift Driving school because on day 6 or 7 when they took us out to drive a truck on the road I didn't know handle a stick (which I told them from day 1 that I needed to learn how to drive a stick) they told me not to worry they would teach me. They didn't teached me nothing and the female trainer was trying to give me a one, two, lesson in the middle of traffic.

I told them I needed a REAL lesson and I was told they was no time, because I had to go out that coming weekend with a trainer. I told them NO way I'm going out to nowhere unless I really know how to drive a TRUCK. They told me to pack my stuff and wait outside for five hours until the bus comes. I told them to kiss where the sun don't shine I brought my own car and I'm out of here. Luck for me had passed all of my test and got my Class A permit with them already.

I didn't owe any money, got a job driving a bus and they got my cdl class B went to a real school and upgraded (it cost a whole lot less to just upgrade) now I have been pre-approved by a lot of other companies, looks like I'm going go with Roehl or Gordon...Swift did you a favor, live learn and move on!!

 

It takes a little time to figure out how and when to shift. Once you do it for a while you will be an old pro. Before you know it you'll be floating gears and only using the clutch to get started.

 

Nothen makes a truckdriver madder then a wet hornet , then wroung paperwork, like in the men restroom and you run out

 

See this i don't understand, i quit my job too go too work for swift, let's say for this example, then i go thru a week of ot, get hooked up with a trainer on day 7, then on day 7 , i'm told too hit the dirt, and go home instead, so i got fired before i got started, now i would like too see a letter or some kind of chart they go by, and then i can work on that problem they checked off, i wish they send something like in a pre hire letter they gave me

 

Swift has the Largest swinging door out there. If you really think about it I'm sure you can figure out why they didn't keep you.If you don't want to share that information with us that understandable. Why not try to get on with one of the many other trucking companies?

 

i havent got hired on by anybody yet, i was just using swift as a sample , as what too look for, so i can fix the problem, as too what they look for, so i can make sure all my ducks are in a row and if not too fix em ,so they are

 

What Kind of ducks do you need put in a row? Lets use examples.....For Example is your blood presure in check? Do you have a neck size larger than 16? Have you pulled your dac report. Can show documentation of you work history for the last 8 yrs.

Thats a few ducks that youll want to make sure are in a row.

 

As far as I know, Swift isn't checking neck sizes.
