    i think swift is great
they gave me a job when i needed it.
i quit on thanksgiving day in 1997 with no notice
they never called me back but they sent me statements for 10 years saying i had 1500$ vested in the swift retirement plan.
i called up phoenix and told em i wanna put that cash in my ira but she said they gonna keep it cuz i only stayed 2 1/2 years
they took it and now my 401k says i got.35 cents in there!
i think all you young single people should sign on for swift truck driving school and ask to run 48 states and canada
maybe now that im a recruiter swift safety will help me get my retirement fixed up!!

    Everett Thanks this.

    1) Why did you leave money with a company for 10yrs that you did not work for?
    2) If you were 100% vested, this money is yours and Swift can not touch it. Consult a lawyer. A company can not enter a 401k or any other retirement plan and do anything with it without your consent. If your, for example, not vested in a retirement plan until 3 yrs of employment then the company can take back their contributions such as company match but all of the money you put in is yours. If they actually did what you say then they have violated a host of SEC Regulations.

Sounds like slim was being sarcastic when he said he thinks Swift is great does'nt it?I mean how can anyone think a company is great if they don't give you the money that is yours?

thats good to know that swift actually will send a student home for any reason --- the way it looks sometimes i figuired they would put anyone in there trucks --- i feel safer on the roads now knowing that even swift has standards

i called shortly after i changed jobs and told them i wanted to roll that cash into my ira
my statements all said 100% vested but swift hr said i could not have unless i worked there 5 years
if they do that to 10000 drivers thats a pile of cash
i still recommend swift to inexpeeienced people. lot of dropping and hooking and newer equipment
i got my experience. kept my record clean got out.
i got 14 years in my local job.
i could not imagine 14 years otr if you dont like lot lizards. would probably be 400 pounds by now

That's the kind of people a lot of trucking companies are looking for, felons, because they know they will more likely stick with it because they can't get a job as easily as someone with a squeeky clean record. Felons and dopeheads don't have good sense anyway,so will likely stay longer, a smart person will more than likely quit and find a decent paying job elsewhere.

Are you asking me or another?

Also, Johnson City, huh? My entire family, with exception to my sister and myself, is from there.
