Where in NY are you located? I work for a small septic company in Fishkill NY. We don't hire drivers without similar experience ie. tri axle or larger trucks. Not to say you cant get hired somewhere with no experience, but most don't want to take the risk of a rookie hauling 5000 gallon liquid load on air ride down back roads, where truck aren't meant to go.

I reside down around in Binghamton, NY. I see what you're talking about and it makes complete sense! I didn't know much about it, and you've helped pretty good! How long have you been at it? Thanks!

I've been doing the septic thing for 2 years now. It pays about the same as most driving jobs I've had. The one thing no one has said is the tips you get. In the summer months I can make an extra 400 a month just in tips. It isn't as bad as some people make it out to be too. Its only poop and its not gonna kill you if a little gets on you. I really enjoy the work. I think a lot of that has to do with the company I work for.
If you're really interested in it, I would start visiting companies in your area and bug them till one gives you a chance. Good luck in your search -
Thanks, man, I appreciate it! I love the trucks that you guys use! What endorsements do I need for that? Tanker and hazmat? Thanks, again!
