preferably, one that is in the area/city/state of where this took place.

if you have a lawyer at your home base, he/she may not be Bar Certified in the state where this happened, and will most likely refer you to the Bar of that state for one.

 

Do not post anything more on this on any public site. Do not talk to any one other than your company personnel, your company insurance administrator and the company legal counsel.

Hopefully you have photos from the scene. Save them. Get copies of all documents, reports statements and the like. Copies of any dash cam videos if you can.

have a discussion with your company on what they plan to do. Is the company or its insurance company going to represent you?

Get legal counsel for your self. No matter what the answer to the above is.

Keep a record in a log/journal of every and any person you speak to. Name, date, time and topics with notes.

 

Y’all are being trolled.
1) icy road…..It’s the end of June. Why so long before a post?

2) stopped traffic….how were they going so fast to cause a fatality?

3) the company got charged for “false logs”….last i checked the driver signs the logs, the driver owns responsibility for the logs, & the driver catches charges for his/her logs.

 

Another hand on mommy’s computer in the basement asking a stupid question.
