Serious question

I don't drive for a living but going to all automatic made a huge difference in my volunteer fire department. For years our tankers had manuals now anyone can drive them. We've had a few accidents because of it.

 

I’ve been at this 40 years I noticed it starting to change about 20 years ago it started to be very noticeable about 10 years ago …but the last 5 the special kind of stupid have been front and center……Personally I feel it should be mandatory That a Common sense & IQ test be given as part of the CDL test…. But common sense is in short supply in society anyhow now days

 

So lock the idiot up and keep your unessasary alarm out of my car!

 

You just proved a point some of us having been trying to make there is a serious shortage of common sense..
How in the #### do people not remember they have kids in the back seat ????

I was on a Vol. About 10 years. Your right. If you were a farmer,mechanic, or trucker. You got almost forced into the tanker. And at that age, it did not interest me much.

 

Before you were able to speak, you learned to behave. Mom would pinch the fat off your legs. Mom would take kids to the store and there were chairs and benches for kids to sit down. It was a matter of pride for a woman to have well-behaved children. Mom would pinch the fat off you, but dad would whip you. Getting whipped by dad was probably the most horrific thing you could imagine as a child.

Dr Spock convinced people that their children would be better off without any discipline. Without discipline, there is no RESPONSIBILITY. If a boy does not learn responsibility, he will N E V E R become a Man. Hence, Men are an endangered species.

Most women in the United States age 50 and under, do not know what a Man, the old school, fully capable and willing to be responsible for whatever comes his way in life, is. Go to any restaurant, on Friday through Sunday, in the evening, find the prettiest waitress in the place and ask her if she has a husband or a boyfriend. She will talk about her “man.” Over sensitive, emotional, jealous, lazy, underemployed, irresponsible loser. That’s not a Man. But that’s all she knows. If a dude is dating a woman and he’s effeminate, that automatically puts her in a masculine mindset. So, she’s aggressive, belligerent and completely disagreeable. Damaged goods.

So that the masses who have never learned responsibility can be safe, Jimmy Carter outlawed lead based paints. That was the number one killer of Darwins (the kids who are too stupid to be allowed into the breeding pool) before they were old enough to breed. Well, Darwins have infiltrated the breeding pool on a grand scale. And then the next killer of Darwins is the automobile. And hence they have tried to stupidproof the autos and big rigs instead of removing Darwins from driving in the first place. Darwins believe that driving is a right, not a privilege. And they behave on the road accordingly.
