This is a western culture phenomenon. Incels, neckbeards, herbivore men and in Japan the hikikomori. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot??? This stuff is a common occurrence nowadays, but to the older people, it’s unimaginable. The military,the law enforcement agencies, all of the blue collar tough jobs are in trouble because there is a severe shortage of Men.

After reading through this, I think I have the root cause.

The focus of education has changed so much all about feelings and not skills

Now just look at all the people you now see walking on the right side of the road with their backs to oncoming traffic instead of the other side to be looking at the auto closest to them, I remember being taught that very early; like BEFORE I started walking to school...

'New math was something that appeared 50 years ago and has morphed again and again, meantime everyone's feelings and inclusion has become paramount.

Yeah, the 60's with rote memorization of 'times tables' and many other things [remember driver's ed?] that people actually use through life was a harsh way to learn some things but I'm proud of some of those skills.

I won't even discuss drag queens reading nursery rhymes...

Yeah, I did collect quite a pile of kindling over my 8 years under Sister Mary Discipline BUT I can make change from an open till with out a computer telling me the amount.

There needs to be some skill building mixed with some basics geared to today's world.

 

The Autoshift Transmission. Oh, and one other thing. It has gotten really bad at Amazon facilities. Anywhere these truckers park, are strewn with piss bottles, bags of crap, and garbage. Thursday I was at one, and noticed some scum bag took a crap on the ground with the driver lounge right there. Now, who do you see pulling Amazon trailers by an OVERWHELMING MAJORITY. The answer to that question and the Autoshift was and still is the downfall. Just to add because I know some might say, "Good, F!@# Amazon, and the way they treat people."
Most Amazon Fulfillment Centers are state of the art facilities. Everything is marked well, lighted well, driver lounges that include a nice, large, clean restroom that are even stocked with things women need (for free), 2-3 vending machines, microwave, some with kitchens, including eating utensils and condiments, a filtered water machine to refill your own water jug.

 

I know and when I read about I just shake my head .. what about the guy that left his 6 mth old child in the car seat on top of his car roof then proceeded to leave the parking lot… just how do you do something that stupid ??? I mean really.. Here in Iowa you get caught leaving your pet in the vehicle and you go directly to jail do not pass go and no get out of jail free card either .. And That’s the way it should be !! Hell there’s a big sign on the door here at the local Walmart big sign that says … Did you forget something in your Car ? ….. and it shows a picture of a child in a car seat…. I realize it is Walmart and based of what I’ve seen walking around in the store I understand …… But still
