Serious question

Yeah you’d tell em .. but that didn’t guarantee results Stupid still existed

 

I’m 64 years old, have been driving for 48 years, have been driving professionally for 26 years, and frankly I don’t think there has been much of a change over the years. Most folks are just trying to make it through their day, and a much smaller number are jerks/idiots who make our job a lot more “exciting”. We had them when I was a kid (and honesty requires that I admit that I was an often reckless idiot when I was a teenager), we had them when I was a young man, and we have them now.

Folks have been complaining about the world going to hell in a hand basket ever since there were folks and hand baskets…

 

Before cell phones and GPS the CB was useful. Not anymore.
People just argue and fight, be rude, and little useful information at all.

I started 13 years ago and had a CB. It wasn't but a couple years in that I decided it was not worth it anymore.

 

I'll get my arse chewed by the mods by saying this but so be it .
The downfall in professionalism in this industry started with the influx of the eastern euros in the early 2000s , followed closely by the middle easterners and the Somalis.
Layed off Anglo Saxons rounded out the group of don't GAF's in 2008 .
This has become an industry of people mostly out for a quik buck with no pride or sence of professionalism for the most part .
I've hoped the insurance industry would weed them out but they seem to multiply and I've gone from sticking up for truck drivers to telling people to avoid being near a truck cause they drive like idiots ....sad state of affairs .

 

Just watched vid of when CF 01 was put on the road in 1992 and #### near cried.
They dressed, drove and conducted themselves as professionals...that's long gone now.

 

A decade ago, I started to hear all the alpha male beta male stuff and I wrote it off as garbage. Went to a Planet Fitness and realized that I was dead wrong. Heard reports about the Lunk Alarm and watched youtube videos to see if it were true. The Japanese doll videos and the Hikikomori videos popped up from there.

Also, years ago there was this youtube driver that was a member here called’RunHardGetPaid.’ Someone called him a neckbeard. I had never heard of this. Saw a video called Neckbeard Nests. Every nasty thing you hear about driver dumping in parking lots, neckbeards do on their bedroom floor. Thus the pissjug problem is bigger than the trucking industry in

 

Aaah you did it again! I always take notice of your posts and check your recommendations but the doll deviants scarred me badly and now I'll have to find out what a neckbeard next does. Enough, already.

 

Neckbeard: A man who is socially inept and physically unappealing, especially one who has an obsessive interest in computing.

My opinion is that the internet and especially social media are the downfall of western civilization.
