Not to mention that the bigger companies only want meat in the seat.
It use to be the driver represented the company, not anymore.

The difference is that I’m not on it all the time. I sometimes go days if not weeks not on it. Most of the time I don’t even carry my phone with me, usually just leave it in the truck or house.

doesn't matter how often or how little.

you, me, and many others...."are on it".

we are just as responsible for the downfall, as anyone else is, at any time.

embrace the downfalling you are a part of..>!!!!!!!!!!

Trucking went down when the Marlboro Man Died, ha ha ha. Then it really took a dive
when it went from drivers wearing Cow Boy Boots, TO Little T-Shirts, spandex pants

.....and has been used to complain about 'the current situation' every d@mn year for the last 16 centuries, too. For at least the last 50 years of my life there has always been some 'doomsday prophet' spouting cr@p like this, yet every year, life goes on. We forget the positive things; kids don't die from mumps anymore, car accidents don't kill as many people, fewer people die from cancer, communication is 10x faster and cheaper than it used to be, etc., etc.....

After my mom died, I was going through a bunch of family papers that she'd inherited when HER mother died several years back. One of the documents was an invitation my Grandfather had received to join a certain "secret society". It started out "The year of our lord 1937 may be the LAST of our GREAT SOCIETY unless........", and it went on to blame the impending collapse of society on several ethic, racial, religious and political groups. Some things just never change, and one those is that grumpy old men will complain that "things aren't what they used to be".

So a driver on a dock not that long ago. He was literally wearing a dress, wig and high heels. I couldn't contain my laughter.
