The only thing I can't stand is no parking. And the few places you can charge you huge fees. Also the idel issue. If I am hot I should be able to idle.

I dont run into very many places who charge for parking, in CA only 2 places I have stopped which charge, TA in Ontario and 49er in Sacramento. Always plenty of places to park for free.

APU's are not really cost effective when the truck will be retired at 500k.

I have heard there are cheaper options than getting an apu, im not too knowledgeable in that area though just what I have heard. There are a lot of other places besides walmart and home depot that have no idle rules, then there are some that limit for like 5 min unless state law says otherwise like the Target dc I work at says 5min unless law permits otherwise. I have idled at a customer who posted no idling before, was over 100 degrees and I had to remain in the truck, I figured if anyone said anything I would of threw safety and health at them if it even did any good. I heard one driver once tell security at a place he had heat sensitive medicine and went off on threats, security left him alone after that but I dont know if that would work for others.

Theres a Walmart not far away in Aurora that has designated truck parking.

I just left Denver terminal and had to drop a tcall double parked. Parking was rough.

I've been running nights but come summer I'm gunna have to switch it up. I remember a few occasions getting stuck in no idle city/ states sweating my ars off during the day.
