I had to go reread the first post to make sure I didn't read wrong because ppl are giving the op a hard time first his load wasn't cancelled he was pulled from his original load and given the Yankee candle load so he goes there only to be told never mind go back to the other load . piss on that and that ditsy dispatcher . so many of the ppl telling this guy he has to do what they say because he is a company driver are the same ppl that tell ppl to quit letting these companies push them around. Which is exactly what Carrie was trying to do like I said piss on her .. Props to you op for showing them your not a brainless steering wheel holder

So what you're saying is a desk jockey who's looking at a computer screen knows more about real time conditions 100's of miles away than a driver who's experiencing the real thing...good lord, no wonder This business is falling apart

Id refused only if im sure cant be done legally. In this situation id refused and explained only reason i said no is because of hours. If they gave me any attitude about it i woulda tried then when i didnt make it i would let my dm know why. I was late for a high priority load because some night dispatcher told me i had to cover another load before my normal load(run dedicated) told him cant would be late to dedicated load. He told me to do it and had qc messages to prove it. Was going to be late for dedicated load. Called dm, he said he already knew. Hd another driver get my load babysit it, and gave him m mt, night dispatcher was fired.

I cant ignore people net. Account I run is high priority. I got my dm watching me, along with the account manager and their group, along with the COO. All them call or pn me to get etas etc. I have to read all messages. Load cancelled on me other day. Check pn, said cancelled. Went to nearest truck stop waiting on load. My dm was out. Nothing available. Was going to have me take another drivers load so he could get in position for his dedicated load next day. Explained no hours couldnt do it. He said okay. Maid other guy run it and i got his dedicated run for next day. Wasted whole day but thats what you do.sometimes.

Exaxtly, and she isn't even MY DM. My DM had cancelled this preplan and had me yankee candle because he is planning to get me home and it was probably easier or they had a swap which is exactly what I'm doing now. Picking up a load out of our terminal that was dropped for me to bring right back to CT then dead head home. when I called my DM Travis he had no idea about it. I live in MA so I knew exactly what was going to happen once I hit the boston outer loop I-495 rush hour. Then is be explaining to safety why I'm parked on the shoulder with trucks blazing by me.

I've emptied out 130 miles from home, for my hometime, I go home for my scheduled home time and then get dispatched near where I emptied out at, I say I can't pick up on time, time distance, AND this is after my hometime, when I say that I'm ready for a load.
