Setting clock on Volvo?

That switch would be the electric self prime switch. After you change the fuel filter you push this switch and wait and it will reprime itself, unlike those dang Cat engines that you have to hand pump for half an hour to get it restarted.

 

Priming switch looks like this on diagram

 

Electric pump is filter unit (VED12 ore D13 engines)

If you have truck with ISX, priming pump will be on for a minute, not for some seconds, like it happent when you turn ignition on

 

Nice, wish I woulda known that the time I put a new fuel filter on there dry. Wouldnt start so I took the filter back off and manually filled the filter with diesel out of a can. Guess I will know the next time. Thanks!

 

if you do not fill fuel filter with diesel before installation you will use priming pump twice ore more to start up

 

On the clock setting just unhook the negative battery cables and then hook them back up at midnight or noon.
