I want to run a ICOM ic-7000 in my truck. How would you set it up?

Nice radio most people remote it with the radio under a seat or in a trunk and the control head near the dash.

    I run a FT-1900r right now

What kind of antenna would you use on a truck for the IC 7000 or for that matter the FT-1900r? I am actually considering getting an Icon IC V8000.. Looking for a decent mobile 20m Rig as well.. Wish I could afford the 7000.

Running a company truck in the near future.

Where on the truck do you mount a trunk mount? Sound stupid I know, but with all the fiberglass in the body I don't see where?

Any of you ham out there use through the glass mounts for 2M or will the DMV get you on that?

Glass mounts are some of the worst antennas ever made. And any kind of tint makes them worst than they already are. Most 2M antennas don't need a ground or ground plane. So you can mount them just about anywhere.
