Numbers (particularly numbers as dynamic as those which xlsdraw posted in his most recent posts) don't amount to squat unless the other things that make a driving job a GOOD driving job are present. Not only do numbers not tell the whole story, the part of the story they DO tell isn't very large.

There Are forums on TTR specifically designed for opinions both good and bad about companies. I chose Not to make one of those kind of threads.

I think we're all curious as to what the point of this thread is then...if it's not to state what its really like to work there. The company can tell us numbers all day long. The driver tells us the TRUE story.

    some drivers get paid garbage
At Shaffer you can make money

I got the miles when I worked there and so is OP

That's the point of the thread

I bet I can derail the thread with my "opinions" though lol.

    TruckDuo and xlsdraw Thank this.

the 21 day rule goes all over for the OTR .48+ pay rate

They do have a Northeast regional that pays a little more

    xlsdraw Thanks this.

Did you demand an extra .03 CPM when they give you a reefer load? You are after all signed up to be a Dry van driver.

But yes Shaffer does have longer runs than Crete on average , that's for sure.
But you'll get live unloads and wacky appointment times to make up for it.
