Shaffer tried to make me sign an agreement that I would except forced NY City and 5 boroughs.
Took tight streets w/ telephone poles near curb with wide turns and they flunked me.
When you drive inner city you have to get as wide as you can. Go figure.
Wasted time. And a very, very long bus ride home.
(These were my observations. Some of the responds are going to be from Shaffer drivers and wise guys. You can tell which ones.)

It's the companies fault that you don't know how to drive (?)
outerspacehillbilly Thanks this. -

Whats the issue here being forced into NY or flunking a road test deliberately I suspect.
USE ALL THE ROOM YOUR ALLOWED WITH ENCHROACHING ON SOMEONE ELSE LANE OF TRAVEL. -
should have maybe checked out how they dispatch before you apply

I used to run all 5 boroughs regularly with TransAm and never had a problem. I always slid my tandems all the way forward when I got to the city. I did get an idling ticket in the Bronx once but that had nothing to do w/my driving skills. Driving in NYC helped me so much w/backing and stressful situations. A lot of the low clearances that say 12'6" are actually 13'6" Brooklyn has alot of low bridges you can go under but that is something that is your own risk!

I'm glad that YO-HO boss of mine doesn't make me go to NYC

at least the four-wheeler traffic in nyc are friendly, courteous drivers who appreciate the job that truckers do.

except which is clearly different from accept . I always except NY city too !! -
HAHAHA! that is hilarious. I turned on a one way street in Brooklyn one time going the wrong way and met a city cop and thought "Oh Crap"!!! The cop pulls up on the sidewalk and drives around me. LOL
