Shambles

I don't talk to the other drivers much
To explain why, it's a language barrier. They are all native born Latin American and speak very little English. My Spanish is extremely limited. We nod at each other and say hello but no conversation.

However, judging by their moods, I daresay most are not thrilled with the routine either.

 

Many years ago, the town I work out of was a colorful place. Today it's a Stark display of urban blight. Homeless encampments are on every block. Eating places, while plentiful, are terrible. The current virus crisis has made it worse. You have to watch your step walking. It's unbelievable how much filth, you can guess what kind, is strewn on the side walks.

The colorful days ended when the Navy pulled out in the late 70s.

 

I was planning to clean out the truck today. A truck wash crew got in the way. Tomorrow I will do it even if I have to climb over guys.

I'll let you and everyone else know.
I didn't want to leave until I had something solid to move on to.
I found that I can't look for work while I'm working.
