The question was asked "why do people have a knee jerk attack response to lease purchase success stories". I gave my answer - people who join this forum and their first posts are "look at how successful I am - you can do it too!" tend not to be legit.
You responded by attacking me and claiming "I blew my chance" by not acquiring my own truck through a gentleman who hauls for Amazon. Anyone who thinks being a lease operator for an Amazon contractor is an opportunity needs to learn what "middle man" means.
If you've been around this industry for a while, you should understand why people call it a "fleece purchase" and that all that glitters is not gold. You even stated that the first time you tried to acquire a truck, the company you went through screwed you. Think about why you signed up with that first outfit? What about them was appealing? What red flags did you miss? If you had expounded on your experience- good and bad- you would not be receiving the push back you are.
I do not consider a truck with 50,000 miles on it "new". I also do not believe that running 350,000 miles in 18 months is feasible for a solo operation. Rough math says you'd have to run 600 miles a day, every day to make that work. I do think it's feasible to pay off a used truck in 18 months, especially if it was bought in the spring of 2020 when truck prices were ridiculously low.
With all the quaking I'm hearing, my instinct is to yell "duck", not horse -
We have seen no numbers. To me it's just talking. It's like the person who says I was blessed with a 3k check in the mail(does that still happen). Where did the check come from? They seem to leave out the main ingredient & they say "trust me" yours is coming too. I do believe in miracles but buying a truck is not a miracle to be unexplained. The majority of us on here work hard & have bought new, used & done lease purchased trucks. Have a great day the numbers don't lie 0123456789.Zero Fox Thanks this.
