I applied and interviewed for a petroleum transport driver for CLI for a 3:00pm start time. When I get to the 2nd virtual interview, i was told that start time may not be available anymore, and it would be 12:30am, Mon, Fri-Sat, essentially Tue, Wed, and Sun off. I'm pretty flexible, as one must be in this line of work, but that's quite the change. Does CLI/Sheetz change schedules often? If I get offered the job, how long would I be on this schedule. Any insight would be helpful.

Personally -- I'd rather drive for Sheetz...than Love's (now that Mr Love has passed on  :().

To me -- that is not just a job -- it's also a trophy.

    But to each....their own.

Best of luck....keep us informed on how it all turns out. :salute:

If you do get an offer....I envy you. :p :D

Have you spoken to ANY current working drivers on that account? Not all info and company policies are put on the internet, But every driver on that job has info about that job. Ask the company to have a current driver on the account call you. A few phone conversations won't kill anyone.
It's pretty standard for fuel haulers to start new guys with nights & holidays. It's low turnover among the day and holiday-off drivers so don't take the job if you can't work the starting schedule for years.

The only good thing with that schedule will be Saturday’s. Work, then probably be off between 10 and noon. Take a nap, then basically have most of Saturday and Sunday off.

At my terminal about the only way to get a chance at a day schedule is when someone retires. Afternoon schedules are a little easier, I started at 12:00 am and within a year I was able to get a 4:00 pm. When a schedule opens up they will post it at the terminal and anyone can sign it and the one with the longest time from the last change of shift gets it.

$41.25 to start per hour here, that's hard to pass up. I'm about 99% sure you'll never have a normal schedule and always count on working the majority of weekends. Best of luck.
