My shifter isn't up by the roof, has a 6" extension on it now, I just ordered a 12" cuz 6" isn't comfortable enough. As for the seat on the floor, only one reason for that, it's more comfortable. You do realize that guys who own trucks can put any seat in them they want right? A nice low pro seat without air in is only a few inches off the floor. Personally the stock seat without air in it still isn't low enough for me, just isn't comfortable.

My thinking while I read this thread was "am I only guy on here who knows how to shift?" Why would you ever be forcing it in gear? obviously a lot of guys on here need to speed a whole lot more time learning how to actually drive the truck and less time criticizing those of us who can and know how we like to do it.

Yeah I'm 7'1 I put a 18inch extension on mine I love it because I drop seat to floor so see out mirrors better and also don't matter what others think your the driver do your own thing who cares what people think and I just extended my air lines easy to do

Extending the shifter makes the bottom line on your settlement check seem bigger driver!... . Don't believe me? Ask any wanna be O/O that does this. They will tell you. Look at my check it ain't much but I look cool going down the road... hey check out all my chrome I bought... thought I would make the truck all shinny a pretty before the bank comes to repo it. I ain't got much but I sure do have a purrrdy truck.

I'm not saying I'm old but what would the young pups do with an ol 5/4 twin stick? Lengthened out they'd get wrapped in the lips trying to shift lol

Some how, some way, both those sticks are going to end up in neutral. Could be going up a mountain, could be going down a mountain. Might be on ice, or in a lot of traffic. One thing for sure, there's going to be a lot of grinding. Lots more grinding than you could ever do on a 9-10-13 or 18 speed. Then that trucks coming to a stop!!

    I'm not saying I'm old either!o_O
