Shifting Super 10?

    hehe, i worked for a container outfit in the late 80's/ early 90's and we had a tractor for hostling that had a 4x4, that thing was a blast.

    I ran a truck that was a 5x2x4... yep, 3 trannies. Lots of fun (oh OK, yes it was in the oil field)

    All I can remember about shifting a Super 10 is when I was pulling a trailer with a spread axle, and while making a turn, I would flip the button for the next gear and have the truck slow down faster than the tranny, leaving me stopped in the intersection between gears.

    That was with a 435 Detroit, I learned the stage 1 engine brake shift soon afterward. :clown:

    the first truck I drove had a browning 5x2. a crackerbox GMC..
    Also drove 5speed with a 3 speed rear now that was a pig...
    a spicer 5x2 was fun because you has 5 speeds backing up..shifting going backwards drove most of the drivers nuts.
    same with the 4x4 and a 5x4
