    Hey Blk,

    I read on another post they have a probation period of 30 days paying only CPM at .38 and then move you to salary. Are they still doing this? Also, was told by the recruiter that they don't have orientation pay .. Doesn't make sense, just wondering if you know.

    Thanks

    Not trying to be a butt, just don't see how that's such good money. If you run 3,000 miles for $1100 that's like 37 cpm. If I don't pick up extra days and only work my four I get $1145 for 1,968 miles

    That's good! Where are you running out of?
    I know it's not great over the top pay but it is good for salary pay. When you don't hit the 3000 mile you still get paid the same each week.

    Out of Indy but i'm not OTR. I'm home every day. Since the industry standard for OTR is cents per mile you might want to figure your salary pay that way to know where this job ranks .
    3000 miles is 36.6
    2600 =42.3
    2300 = 47.8
    I would want to be doing about 2200-2300 a week average

    I hear ya! But from what I have seen out here (California) your not even going to come close to that on local job unless maybe you are propane tanker or maybe a car hauler. Mostly they have a lot of pay by the hr jobs and the highest I have seen is $25 hr plus over time. The over time might make up for it but this varies so hard to put a number on that. Most high paying local jobs are very difficult to get into or it's $19.00 to $20.00 bucks an hour still comes out about the same as this salary.

    Do they have the bendix wingman system in the trucks? Pulling tanks right now but I miss pulling a reefer lol call me crazy but I liked it a lot better than getting beat up by these smooth bore tanks all the time
