Not all brokers are equal. The ones I deal with regularly - we don't even talk over the rate. It is the same loads, same price. Pays good enough in my book so why should I rock the boat?
The brokers where I know they are taking a large cut - I see it as an open invitation to solicit the customer. When you hear things such as "I have lots of carriers that want to go to Florida so I am paying this". Okay. I wonder if your customer knows you are taking the lion's share while leaving peanuts for the company actually hauling the load. TQL is a good example of this.

You are dealing with a bigger picture than I am as just a 1 truck operation when I was dealing with brokers that I found dishonest while I ran broker freight for 2years before I hooked up with customer I run for now.I wouldn't load for that broker again.Honestly the only broker that I used in those 2years that I stopped dealing with wasTQL. I was luckier then some tho I used a small broker a lot and him I'd known for years from a different company we both were at.he actually helped me get the customer I have now
