I was surprised by something new/stupid frequently until I retired from trucking.

Just a guess, but you had to disconnect and park away from the trailer to be unloaded. No just pulling up in front of it.
Ran out of time so took your ten, and when you woke up it was gone?

Yep. Heartland didn’t care about where their trailers were at, or where they went. It was common practice to steal an empty away from other Drivers. I did it in Atlanta, out smarted the local drivers. Went to a Shipper, told the Guard they sent me for an empty. Lol. Only way to get out was with an empty.

So it is just a bit a karma then. What goes around comes around, and you all do it.

You have no right to cry about it.

Yea, still if I need an empty and no one is hooked to it I can take it, If Im trying to hold on to it and have to drop it, I put a seal, padlock, and a glad hamd lock on it and a copy of a used bol in the paperwork box. Kind of h=ide it in plain site. Once I scan a BOL the company does not want the orginal so I just file them when I get by the house till I get paid, so I almost always have a week old BOL on me.
    Anyway that works.
