Shocker!! A CB Shop That Actually Does Things Correctly!

Lots of parts replacement. Secret mods not published on CB Tricks forum. Changing the timing of the AGC circuit is not something that can easily be done without replacing parts. It would be cool to have somebody reverse engineer what he did on a radio but the only problem is those components are only good for that particular radio since the tolerances on these things are so sloppy you would be unable to accomplish identical results using those identical components.
It would be interesting to see the thought processes and mathematical equations that took place to choose a particular value of component for a particular situation. He's pretty secretive about what he does and you'll need tweezers to measure component values in a circuit.
He often scratches the value off of the components trying to conceal what he did from being reverse engineered. Definitely a lot more going on than making simple adjustments.

 

His work sounds pretty good coming through this guy's crappy receiver.
I have my recording stuff set on voice activation in my vehicle at work and I'll have a much better Fidelity recording when I get off work and get back to my vehicle.
