    I have a Stryker 447 I my 2019 KW T680. I am maybe looking for a better CB

What so you folks suggest ? It has to fit the factory CB hole in my T680. You folks gave me some good info on my antenna question.

I want a lot of power but reliable, I would like the radio to transmit and receive as well as possible too. Clarity is important to me. I rely on my radio on the road.

What do you folks suggest ??

    Thank you

Most the manufacturers are making radios equal to the size of a Cobra 29 but are classified as 10 meter/export like your Stryker 447. You may want to take a look at the new Stryker, the new line of radios by Galaxy, or the Mirage 36, these will all fit in cb tray however they may stick out a couple of inches due to heat sink on back of radio. Just out of curiosity where do you mount the Stryker 447?

Your 447 should be a good radio, if it’s the full size version, there is a 447HPC2 that’s smaller in size, has better audio IMO, and when done right is a great rig on TX and RX.

Higher powered radios in smaller chassis do need good circulation to keep cool.

Yes I have the 447HPC2. I would like a little bit more clarity than what I have with it. Maybe a little bit more power as well.

Have you adjusted the bass and treble pots inside the radio? Should see 80 watts PEP out of it with a decent tune.

Misunderstood your original post I thought you had the large chassis 447 and you were wanting a radio the size of a Cobra 29 to fit in the cb tray.

I didn't know those 2 things we're adjustable. The radio has been peeked and tuned. It pushes around 70 watts.

The tray can accommodate any radio the size of the Cobra 29. I had my peeked and tuned Cobra 29 in the truck and was not happy with the performance of it. The radio always worked very well in my Dodge Ram.

They really are not better. Their front ends are too broad, the design is all CB and nothing new.

    HD_Renegade Thanks this.
