I was just offered a short haul job from a flat bed carrier. I graduated school in April and haven’t been in a truck since then. It would be delivering to Lowe’s.

I did a few years short haul. Was home usually a few times a week and weekends off and I was well compensated. No unpaid waiting time at all. It’s second fiddle to home daily

Hope I luck out and get the job. Tentatively going to orientation September 4. Recruiter said she couldn’t promise me the position but trying to move quick so I don’t lose it.

Used a railhead in Hagerstown Maryland and delivered to Lowes pretty much east of there into say Lewes DE often.
As far as some particular wood requiring white glove tarping because it's 50 dollars a inch so to speak, that is balanced by the easy run on the eastern shore. Could not be better.Hernandez19 Thanks this. -
I depends on how you're being paid. Hourly, mile, flat rate? If by the mile, you probably won't like how much you get paid. If it's a full time job with a good flat daily rate or hourly with overtime, and you get medical benefits and aren't paid on a 1099, it might not be a bad gig.

Looks like I got it. It’s with a starter company 950 net weekly is way better then what I’m making now 620 bi weekly.

It’s a flat rate and anything out of range I believe is paying 34cents per mile.

It’s with CT Transport out of Florida
