I think you misunderstood what I was trying to ask, and that may be my fault. I don't want the state to accept a Federal DOT Inspection in lieu of a State Inspection. Let me try again. I'm wondering if an O/O could get a Fed Inspection and send it in and have it help their FMCSA Score.
Should I ask for an inspection so brokers will work with me?

Two totally different things. Fed Inspections are often done by the highly trained individuals at the truck stops who don't know the difference from a drain plug to a washer reservoir.
If DOT want's an inspection, they're not gonna look at your Fed Inspection and think "no need".
Basically the Fed Inspection really have no merit with them.ProfessionalNoticer Thanks this. -
What do you mean by FMCSA score?
Do you mean the CSA score?
If so there is only one way to effect the score, and that's to get a CVSA inspection performed by a certified CVSA inspector and filed in the CVSA system. -
I've had one or two brokers tell me this. We just don't do business with them. My equipment is beyond passing inspection. But not a single chance I'm asking for one!
I turn down a ton of work ever week. You do not have to haul for everyone. -
Yes, I totally misunderstood your question. Not sure where I got that from.
