I sometimes see broker signup packages ask for a Dun number (Dun & Bradstreet). I always leave it blank, and brokers have never given me a problem. Should I get one?

You have an ein? Chance are you already have one. I was suprised to find this out myself. As I've never signed up for one. 3-4 weeks after you get your EIN you automatically get one. You can do a google search and itll tell you your dun # I'll see if I can find it real quick and will post a link. The getting a number is people who sign up to get their number faster and to monitor their dun credit. But it's expensive.

Heres the link

I have one but it’s not been relevant to anything I’ve done so far. They talked me into paying extra many years back. Was a waste of money. It doesn’t hurt though and although they make it seem like you have to pay for it, it’s actually free likes been said.

It is a useful number to have. Allows you to access otherwise walled off Government Freight and other things.
