I'm a bit late on here, but I have had a EIN for a while and don't have this number. I'm trying to get one now because I have to have one to get a DOT number reactivated. What's weird is I don't have a dun and bradstreet number when I search it and somehow I used to have my DOT number active. Now I have to get one to reactivate it. Government stuff can be somewhat confusing :(

It’s strange that they’re requiring you one. I would call OOIDA to see if that is even a requirement. So far I have never reported anyone my DUNS number.
