It all depends on what the paper work you sign when you go to a company says. Many of them have you sign paper work that says they can deduct this or that if you are fired/quit with in this time frame. In a nut shell kiss your last pay check good-by. May trucking has there L/O O/O sign paper work which says that if you get put out of service for anything then they will fine you $750. This is in addition to what ever fines you owe the state. So always read things before you sign them.
should I get paid?
