You need to do lots more research into this business. It sounds like you just decided to become a "Truck Driver" the day before yesterday. Training is plentiful all over the country. Most companies will get you to their location on their dime. Please, do your homework, or you may become just another statistic. Good luck.

Like Chinatown said, there are lots of good companies that run out of Florida, especially after you get some experience. Think about all of the produce and floral products that come out of there.

Also, endurance behind the wheel is like a muscle that you can build through practice. Just make sure whichever company you are looking at can get you home when you want to be home.

Well...the difference is in your car, you can drive 1100 miles non stop, or drive till your sleepy. When you get out on the road, you cannot legally drive 1100 miles non stop, per hours of service regulations. You'll probably get 2 days to make that run in a truck. So why don't you get in the mind frame of trip planning? Pace yourself on this drive. Regulations say you get 14 hours to work from the time you start each day, with 11 hours to drive within that 14. When your 11 runs out, then you have to park for 10 hrs...shower, eat and sleep. Take that 1100 miles and split it down the middle. Again pace yourself. This will determine if you're meant for trucking.

These go back as far as December 2019. I was hoping Mr. Trujo would have already been on the road with several months experience by now.
