Depends what you do with your time off. If a guy is just gonna drink beer in front of the TV he might as well work extra hours. Seems like most guys that work short hours don’t end up spending their off time all that productively anyway.tscottme, nextgentrucker and gentleroger Thank this.

Might consider Builder's first source as a driver. I work for them in South Dakota. I get time and a half after 40 and usually end up with 5-10 hours overtime most weeks. I make $26 an hour where I work but I bet it is more in Dallas. Could be a good compromise. It is basically flatbed work but local delivery to jobsite's. You would be home daily still. Also good benefits. Overall they are a good company to work for in my opinion.
OldeSkool, tscottme and nextgentrucker Thank this. -
Are you looking for LTL over the road freight. Week on week off? Or trying to stay local.

That’s a broad stroke of the brush. I have hobbies, social life, always a hotrod project under construction. Trucking is just a job, there’s more to life than making a livingOldeSkool, nextgentrucker and Rugerfan Thank this.
