I give up. You win. Load it and slide it however you want. Good luck.

    Let's say you did this:
    1-1-2-1-1-2-1-1-2-1-2
All straight in you'd have 4 pallet spaces at the end.
Every hole you slide tandems when you have a heavy load on relatively small pallet count you have to center more of it in the middle of trailer, in exchange your tandem slide may do 400 or more per hole. Similar effect of what I imagine a 45000 pound single coil might be like and why they need to know the weight center of the trailer. Which is why spread axles are a lot more common on flatbeds. It would be a nightmare if they had to do 34 and 34 and get it perfect. Would require a lot of extra work.

Not necessarily, it's dependent on how the load was loaded and how the holes are spaced on the rail and also trlr manufacturer.
In general if you have holes that are close together it will be approximately 250 per hole. On others with a wider space it will be approximately 500 per hole.
But I can tell you from personal experience I've had holes come out to as much as7/800 per hole because of how it was loaded.
As far as the fith wheel goes same thing it's about how it's loaded. I've moved as much as 250 per notch on the plate.

These are just averages and guidance though.

It's a good thing every manufacturer spaces the holes the same distance. Really the only difference between trailers is the name tag and price. Everything else is exactly the same. At least that's what I learned at cr England.

    Depends also on your location.
If you are traveling through California and need to run tandems far forward, you would need a majority loaded up front.
Good thing most California loads are lighter than 45k.

That right there is the game.
Say you're going to be at 79500 gross and you must not exceed 40' kpra rule. To complicate it a little more let's say the load starts in Maryland where you cannot exceed 35% overhang so tandems all the way forward would earn you an award. How do we accomplish this without cutting the load..?
