As far as changing jobs, in any situation, no matter how long you have been driving or how long with the company you are leaving, have the new job lined up before you even give notice at the old one. Any new company worth working for will give you time to give notice properly at your old company. Having the new job found will alleviate most of the concern about what's on your dac, because they will have reviewed it before the old company had a chance to put anything negative on it. That's not to say you are trying to decieve anyone. Tell your new company the truth, before your old company has the chance to maybe lie about you on dac.

The more training the better, stay.
As others said, next time, you get out and look. -
I gotta agree with Chinatown. If you dislike it that much start looking now and then when you get another orientation date give werner your notice and leave.. Only you know you and you need to ask yourself whether you can or want to stay at werner through training?? I am gonna guess the answer is NO... If that's the case then it is in your own best interest to be proactive now and find somewhere else. You at least have the ability to explain the incident and what has transpired and there is nothing on your DAC yet. I would also find out if Werner is going to report the incident to DAC now or have already reported it to DAC. If they are or have then you at least know and do not have to worry cause they already messed up your DAC.. I do not think that you are going to wake up tomorrow or in a week and all of the sudden want to work for Werner. But again only you know you..

Gotta look at it this way. Ya got your first accident out of the way early and in training where they will be more forgiving. Now I am willing to bet you don't make the same mistake twice. Take it from somebody who has been in your shoes. Ride it out get your experience in then make a decision. The extra time out is a precaution to make sure you've learned from the mistake nothing more nothing less. In the mean time just stay focused on the task at hand, and that is learning to do the job. There will be plenty of time to look for other opportunities.
pattyj Thanks this.
