This is why I’m glad FxF doesn’t deal with that radioactive nonsense.

    I can understand that.

Also, where a lot of drivers go wrong with class 7 is you need more than just the shipping name, hazard class, UN number and packing group in the description. It also needs the exact element and isotope, like Cesium-137 or Americium-241, and how much is present.

Transport index wouldn’t be a problem though unless you have a hundred or more of those nuclear densometers on the trailer.

Thanks for the tip, I appreciate it. It was a blue box about 2’x3’x’3’ with some weird handlebars across the top.

Did you deliver it to some guys in an old ambulance with beige jumpsuits and funky backpacks?

    Gentlemen,

With regards to the class 7, here's something I recently got an answer on, assuming I'm not the only one that didn't know this.

While class 7 yellow label III does NOT require placards by itself, it DOES count towards your aggregate total for figuring which other placards you might need like "dangerous".

I appreciate all of the replies. I decided that Dayton is the way to go for me. I had an interview a month ago, and it has been a slow process. I then had an interview with a district manager, then they checked background and credit, then road test. On Thursday they called me for a drug test, so now at this point I am confident that I got the job. This was definitely a new process for me. It's normally show up for an interview, and upon seeing that you have a pulse they offer a job on the spot. I actually got asked interview questions, that really threw me off lol. I decided that must be a good thing though. I'm sure you get a better group of guys when you have a more stringent drawn out process. My current employer found out on Thursday that I'm leaving when Dayton called to verify employment. They offered to make changes and give a $2.44 raise. Even though I was shocked and tempted, I still think it's time to go to Dayton Freight.
