"Should" and "will" aren't always one in the same. You really need to discuss this with your supervisor.

Hauling oversized office trailers to jobsites is the bottom of the barrel of trucking....
Wargames Thanks this. -
But whats the freaking pay?
Do we have to think and hurt our brains mind reading?
Put some NUMBERS we can identify with and make educated analyzes of.
Sometimes cold hard facts help us older gys out really well!
I gave up mind reading years ago with women! It never seemed to work!Strider Thanks this. -
I didn't even know there were drivers who did that exclusively. It was just one more part of our day-to-day tasks. We even had dump truck drivers (the ones who had a Class A, of course) hook it to the back of their truck and cart it out there if need be.

I keep looking at the "Trucker? 0-1 Year " along with the tone of the OP and can't help but shake my head in disbelief. He's still too wet behind the ears to have the knowledge, skill, or experience which would command more pay, whatever that pay may be. Not sure about his work ethic...he may or may not have that going for him. He also didn't say if moving these oversize trailers was part of his job description when he was originally hired...or if it is something new that has been added. If it was already expected of him, he's not going to get any more money no matter how much he begs.
Just keep in mind that if your boss isn't making money as a direct result of the work you are doing, you won't have a job very long. If you approach your boss as though you are entitled to more money for pulling these trailers, you may find yourself at the top of the chopping block should the need for personnel reductions ever arise. What YOU think you should be getting paid has nothing to do with what you are worth to your employer. You are only going to get paid what your employer thinks the work you are doing is worth to him. If you don't like it, don't work there. -
If you just started in this business, then don't worry about the pay to much. It's going to be low no matter what you're doing for the most part. You are getting experience in oversize hauling though. That will be worth more money in a couple years.

over-sized trailers "out here" where i live are not a specialty haul. the pay here is about $20 per hour, and on days there are no trailers to haul, one either goes home or works the yard. be lucky you have a job.
now, if you were to be hauling REAL OVER-SIZED loads....then i'd say the money should be WAY BETTER..
otherwise, what you are hauling amounts to no more than an "over-sized" porta-potty....(with out the potty)U4EA Thanks this.
