Is that different than a turn on?
bryan21384 and skellr Thank this. -
What if those rates you have locked in you could get even more money for?
-
Oh I'm sure I could I talked a good game... I mean I'm satisfied with current rates I get... doesnt take much to BS your way into something.... go put a suit on, visit the customer direct, take a laid out business plan with you and a good rate, guarantee you'll walk out of there with a new customer and bypass the broker completely...Tobytob, Sirscrapntruckalot and bryan21384 Thank this.

It souldnent matter if the neighbors dogs friend knows what the rate is. As long as it's a rate I want to deal with is the real issue.

The only way a broker gouges you, is if you let them. Why do rates need to be public? To help those who suck at business! Personally I don’t want people knowing my rates, and I hope the broker does make money. But I can’t complain about what he made because I agreed on the rate. People! Always wanting things to be easy. I want to be in business, but I don’t wanna have to do the work!!
Truckermania, sawmill, JonJon78 and 11 others Thank this. -
If they start publishing rates that are business agreement between two parties, then we should just go back to the old regulated system of submitting rates to the fmcsa. This will cause a lot of problems for a lot of owners who run thin margins and their competition being able to undercut them.
