Why do so many drivers leave their trash/garbage in the parking lots/areas of truck stops... show some respect!
After all, you're parking there for FREE... some for upwards of 10-34+ hours at a time. The least you can do is help keep it clean!! Seriously, if each driver walking from the parking lot to the store, picked up just 1 or 2 pieces of trash and disposed of it in an actual trash can, the lots would be clean; and you'll be respected more as a professional driver as result of your efforts.
...... Don't even get me started on all the toilet paper left all over the restroom floors.

can't stand the restrooms where people wipe their butts and throw the paper on the floor. are you too lazy to drop the paper in the toilet after you wipe?
bzinger Thanks this. -
This is one of the many reasons you see stops going to paid parking... I never stayed in truck stops, I would always stop for a shower midday and sleep at a shipper or reciever.

Hey, you can make more money that way!

The lazy slobs that can't walk to a trash can or restroom ruin it for everyone. I park in a vacant lot that is close to my house while I'm on home time. The owner is nice enough to let trucks park there for free. The slobs are starting to show up and trash the place so my free parking may soon come to an end.

And it's not like most parking spots don't have trash cans every 50 feet or so... And trash cans at every fuel island too. They made it so EASY!!!

See the problem is thier moms dont work there so nothing gets picked up and they dont know any better.

I feel your pain.
Especially when I will walk to the back of my trailer to throw my trash into a conveniently placed trash can, and find piss bottles left on the ground.
Unfortunately the animals that are doing this, areally not reading this forum, because they cannot read. I suspect they don't speak English. -
I have seen people who are born and raised here and are so filthy. I mean these guys are missing teeth and look like they have been wearing the same clothes for days... and the body odors. Gross. This is what many people think of when they picture a trucker. That's not a professional look. Cleaning up trash is important for all of us and so is our personal hygiene and appearances.
mitmaks, jammer910Z and LindaPV Thank this. -
This is a common issue but I'm trying to take some solace in the idea that it is a very small percentage of drivers who are doing all this crap, and most are respectable people. But even at that rate, there's enough crap going on to impact any/every area where truckers frequent.
But it blows my mind to see how much trash a busy truck stop will accumulate on any given day. They empty the cans, and no sooner then they finish, they're full again. So it seems most are throwing away their trash properly.LindaPV Thanks this.
