Thanks Bubba it has taken 45 years to get here.

Right now I'm working on getting ready for the winter... YES winter in Tampa ... everything has to be done so that going up on the roof can wait to spring.

Then we get ready for hurricanes again .....

These 2 antennas cover 7 to 144 mhz and are what the radios work off.
I also have several dipoles and squailos when we have hurricans or bad weather i will be on the local nets.

WOW , that is something . THAT IS a NICE PIECE of HARDWARE ! I wish that they were still LEGAL in big trux . But, I could use that in my car !! The price of radar det. have really went up ! I thought I was CRAZY when I bought one of the original ESCORTS for 275 .00 ( I think that is what it was )

Good set-up ! The wind can be pretty strong coming off the bay in the winter for sure . I used to have a run to TAMPA a couple of times a week . Enjoyed it , great place to run during the winter months especially . NO SNOW CHAINS !! LOL :biggrin_2559:

But in 40 years here we have had snow ... There was the blizzard of 1977 I was working in St. Pete we got 2 inches and in 1982 Seminole got down to 16 deg 3 days in a row killing most of our yards. In the early 90's my wife was playing softball when it snowed on the fields ....so ..... Don't forget the chains you never know :biggrin_25513:

"Right now I'm working on getting ready for the winter... "

For a gyppo outfit I was driving for last, the owner once critisized me for bringing too much personal gear aboard his buses (tools predominantly). One winter the owner himself was pullling what we call a 2nd section behind me and we hit a severe ice storm on top of Santiam Pass. Amongst my gear I had a 2 ft. long ice scraper with a brass blade. While I had to stop every 1/2 or 3/4 mile I outpaced the owner by over an hour~all he had was a small plastic automotive Ice scraper ~ HAH. Didn't hear much from him after that!

Same setup but with the Cobra 50th anniversary 29 Lx Le. Moved stuff around since the 29 will fit in the hole unlike the grant xl. Will try to get a less blurry picture up soon.
