There is an amateur radio segment of the 12 Meter band but, by convention, bands denoted by wavelength name have several intended uses.

Here's a pretty comprehensive chart. You'll need to zoom it up a bit to see details. Note from the color key on the left side that a lot of the frequencies are for exclusive US Government use.

There have been a handful of specific instances where military teams have DF'd (direction finding) interlopers on their tactical frequencies during training ops. I almost think I'd rather see guys in black suits showing up at my door than a bunch of guys in BDUs with a helicopter...

How do you like your Galaxy Pluto ? I have the same one only mine is set up as an 88. The SWR knob is my echo board.

 

love it just got done moding it today going to be trying it out to night on the road got it from a base in milwaukee for a d104 sliver eagle found it hard to find mods or any thing on this radio but got her done going to be puting a echo board in side next week and changing out the old roger beep to a 5 tone one all in all its a nice radio i like it!

 

I had the RFX 75 put in mine. Get compliment's all day long on how loud and clear it is. Im running a Wilson 1000 and the Original Turner 56 Mic with it.

i think all in all i like the one that goes in the radio better gives u 25 watts more and is the same price!

i did right some stuf for u about the rxf 75 and what i think about it but its yeld up tell the modarater checks it frist take care agen

 

24.890 - 24.990 and 28.000 - 29.700 are HAM ONLY Otherwise I don't worry who is on the radio ..... Let the FCC do the worrying ....
