not a know it all here but the only diffrence between 2k and 5k is power handling capabilities.....
again not being a know it all, if your about to be running 5k watts in the dieselcar go for it

Corbra 29 LTD Classic barefoot with a Radio Shack antenna.I had this unit in a truck 10 years ago put it in my 4 wheeler a week ago.Run coax through headliner down left side of windsheild cover along dash to back of radio.Run power wire from back of radio under dashboard to fuse box.No money here just some time and effort.
