That would be a Uniden Grant XL. I put a faceplate on it.

It was hard to find but I got it. Now I am waiting for a load with enough downtime to take it to a good shop and have them go though it. It was peaked and tuned when I bought it but I don't know by whom so thus I shall get it gone though by someone I trust.

I had my Lee peaked and tuned and aligned in OKC at the T/A. The radio works great but I am going to eventually send it to rolling radios out in VA and have the owner william go through it.

Well my CB as of now is not installed, but I currently have a Cobra 21 GTL from 1979. It's the same thing as a Cobra 25 classic except it's a more simpler radio....it has the volume, squelch and dynamike as well as a PA and a noise blanker....and that's it. It's not even peaked and tuned and I still get good reports with it.

I've owned a few others....Superstar SS158EDX, Cobra 19 LTD II, Cobra 19 GTL, Uniden PC 66 and a Uniden PC 68LTW...I've owned one kicker so far, a Palomar 300 that I no longer have.....pics of them are below...

I'm a big fan of vintage cb radios(even if I'm young) but got caught like most of us into buying big fancy radios(president lincoln, connex, galaxy). finally got fedup with expensive repairs and honestly, I was always on the same 3 channels(10-12-19). so went back to my cobra 29 classic, put some chrome,LED's,blue turbo knobs and a rfx75 for power...and my 1972 cobra29 for fun. after searching for a few years, I finally found my dream radio: mid-'90's uniden grant xl untouched still in the box(guy got a a gift from grandchildrens but never used it! :biggrin_25514:)

my galaxydx55(sold) and cobra29/rfx75(now back in my subaru to stay)

beside a peakntune, the s.s cover and custom faceplate, it's staying stock as is...no echo, rogerbeep, xtra channels,etc...

and here's my antenna, predator 10k with ground strap(1.3swr like this and 1.4 when mounted behind my sleeper) I spent a fortune trying to get the best swr on my t-2000 and the predator won...

I'll post some pics of the grant in the truck soon as well as the predator 10k on the back of the sleeper...

kind of...in case the antenna mount brakes, the antenna won't fly away. trick from the cb shop who sold me the 10k...since the 10k is lifetime warranty it's worth it.
