Took some bad pictures with my bad Blackberry that can't keep a data connection without rebooting, but I digress.

I shot my radio, it's nothing special. It's a sparkified Connex 4300hp. Am not using the mic he sent with it, it's decent, but I like my RK56. The pictures I took are posted to show, if anybody's interested, in how I mounted and ran the antenna and coax. (I don't do the vent thing) The radio is wired exactly like Full Speed Aheads is.

The reason you see my XM antenna on the opposite side as my CB antenna is the satellite wire will mess with the cb coax in a bad way. Tried to avoid that. And if you're wondering, even though my antenna is at about 35deg forward angle, it's still verticle. I had to keep it low, not so much for trees, but the silos and 12'6" bridges. Works like a charm.

Calve can you add some notations for the photos?
I would like to now about pic 2 and 4.
How do you enter the cab of the truck like that. The pictures do not tell the whole story.

    Thanks

If you look closely at pic2, you'll notice I have the coax running in between the weather strip and the frame of the door. pic 4 is where I have it coming into the cab. In pic 3, it's basically running the side of the window behind the interior molding and into the overhead compartment.

I still use that door, meaning, I can open and close it without any fear of it clipping the coax and it works fine. The door doesn't pinch the coax, there's plenty of room for it.

Had a Cobra 29NW with 64W that was a talking SOB but I decided to get a big radio.

So I picked up a Magnum S6-175. No mods, works just fine how it is. Astatic mic.
Wilson 1000 Roof Mount, I need to re-do my grounds though, I get an intermittent SWR spike once in a while so I dont talk on it much till thats fixed.

Also got an Icom 207H in the pickup

Yea, I know the truck is dirty in the pics, Ive cleaned it up since then. But its hard keeping it clean when you work at a grain elevator.

Had to give up my Columbia, and move into a Classic XL. In the meantime still running the 29LTD temporarily. I'm stuck on finding a pair of good SS antennas. I'm leaning towards the 10Ks just trying to find a good price on 'em. In the meantime anyone got any tips or pics to help me out?
