I too prefer greatly to shower in the morning, for the aforementioned reasons, plus the fact that I don't have to go to bed with damp hair.

On days I don't shower, I still clean up. I have no-rinse bodywash that's meant for camping, but obviously works well here.

In the last 3 yrs, the longest I have went with out a shower was for 3 days. I missed a day and intended to get a shower after getting loaded. Ended up waiting another 2 days to get loaded. No truck stops or hotels within site to get showered up.

But for the most part,.. at least 6 showers a week. Fuel, park the truck. Grab your day bag, get your free shower, then get back on the road. The fuel and shower can be done in under 30 mins. 45 - 60 mins if you need to wait on a shower. I hate how my hair gets if I dont wash it. Under arms and crotch gets funky too.

I have to call BS on this as well.

First,.. who signs a BOL before being loaded? What happens if your BOL doesnt match what your loaded with. You are now responsible for a shipment that was never even loaded.

Second,.. no one can be arrested or stopped for leaving a property. I have canceled many loads even after being physically loaded. Made them remove it and drove off.

Arrested for disorderly conduct for leaving a shipper? My lawyer would eat that up. I would have left just on principle.

I've gone so far as to sign in to get loaded. Leave the property while waiting for a dock door to open up, get a tire repaired,.. come back and then get loaded. (true story)

kinda hard to be taken from a truckstop counter story when it happened to a student of mine that I trained and was on phone with him at the time it happened

and by the way i have signed plenty of bills before being loaded.....and never had an issue with a load as of yet.

Why would you sign a bill with out first verifying what they loaded you with? I never sign until I know what I am signing is exactly whats on my truck. Thats just asking for trouble in my opinion.

My wife is a former leo,.. and even she says there is more to the story if the officer threatened to arrest the driver for disorderly conduct. Perhaps the driver was being obnoxious, loud or just ignorant with the officer. Then I could see the officer making that threat. But for simply refusing to stay on premises? Thats a little hard to swallow.
