Shower tipping.

Everyone wants tips nowadays. They put up tip cans at Subways, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts,Taco Trucks... This is something I disapprove of. No one can expect gratitude beforehand. It is rather rude and bold. Well, I give them 1 dol bills most of the time, just like I give a handful of change to bums at street intersections just to remind myself that I could end up there too. With showers...only if it is clean good. Not just a quick 1 minute mop up deal. 1 dollar - symbolical gesture. But if I am at a place - restaurant and I feel like an intruder then I just pay the bill and walk out not feeling bad at all.

 

Every time a post gets a "thanks" they should get a dollar.
We all should be required to have a PayPal account here...

 

My take on the whole tipping thing is:
If you are a waiter/waitress working for $2.35/hr plus tips, i will tip you an appropriate amount. But if you are a server, you will get a reduced tip. A waiter/waitress takes care of a set number of tables. A server delivers wharever is next up on the kitchen counter and more than once i have received a plate that had been set down on a table other than mine before it was brought to me. In that instance i reject the meal and if i have the time, reorder.
If you are working at a job which has a full wage, do not expect me tp tip you. You hired on knowing what the wage was, so either do your job or quit and find a better paying job. If at that point the job cannot be filled because of a low wage, the company will have to raise the pay to fill the job.
When i do my job, i expect no more than a "Thank You".

Yup,today I had to pay lumper with cash.He said he will bring me BOL and change to the truck.So he is giving me BOL and change and goes "Oh and I accept tips too" and I am "Me too buddy but I never get any".
Nice guy though and quick.If I was an OO I would have given him buck or two.
