Same as haircuts- it's not needed for your job.

    Seriously- I tried it.

I dont get it. When I was on my mentors truck I got opened up for fuel on my comdata card all the time, and obviously i got the shower credits and points put on my rewards cards. Wonder why your mentors arent allowing you to fuel on your cards?
Request fuel for D2 at xxx, where xxx = fuel stop location and etc. what we did and never had issues.
Now trying to get my money back for buying DEF fuel one late night while running behind and didnt have the time to wait on advance request to come thru. Hope im not kissing that $100 goodbye..

Best free shower I had was at a Loves out in Nevada, I lost my rewards card a few days back and asked for one, so I could start getting the showers, etc. Either I was real rank or the lady liked me, as she slid me the key to shower #6 and winked at me. 112* out and after a 3 day run, that was the best cold shower ever.. lol

Probably because it's personal hygiene, not something required for your duties or continued employment, like a physical. Then again, the IRS is a strange place.

Come on now! Either you had a dummy for a tax man. Or a dummy at the IRS.

Your meals aren't required to perform your job. You get a set amount for that.

My BS meter is going off.

And you betchurazz if I paid for a DOT physical I would be deducting it from my taxes.

Absolutely. It is required for your job, so it's deductible.
