No room for it and be to much extra weight.

If your getting into a truck stop late be lucky to get a parking spot, and if it wide open Lock your doors and stay in the truck. Reason why it empty. If you do not want to get out of the truck to go in and shower carry handy wipes to wipe off with. Maynot be the best cleanest feeling but you can wipe off 3/4 of the body odor off.

I usually just hose off at the fuel pumps.

If I've been away from home over 48 hours, I shower and get a good hottsie bath at those Oriental Spa's you see along the interstate.

I've seen those in truck showers advertised, but don't know how practical they really are.

the portable shower I was thinking about is called a "Hartline Portable Shower" it's supposed to be a collapsible shower you can use in the truck

It would probably be worth trying. Many times I wished I had something like that, being so tired didn't feel like going inside the truckstop.

My portable shower is called 2 gallons of water, a towel, bar of soap, wash cloth, shampoo/conditioner, flip flops, and then I head for the deep woods. Cleaner than the paid deal but it only works in the warmer weather and when my company sends me to the boonies where there ain't no truck stop along my 300 mile route (store delivery-dedicated).

I feel plenty safe but I'm a guy. It's great gettin' naked in the great outdoors sometimes. :biggrin_255:

I've seen them years ago in back of newspapers, truck papers. I have a friend that n"added "a shower to her truck in the form of a drom box,and it's really nice. I think a company in In did it for her,it has shower, sink toilet and all in its own room.

Yes I have one, and I also have a toilet and other things in my sleeper (sink and custom fridge), it isn't a huge sleeper but I've justified all of it because of several times of going into a pilot or a J and having to smell and look at the aftermath of someone's 'explosion' in the only stall they have. They can be a pain in the butt, but usable in a pinch.

What about putting one on the catwalk? Use a water to water heat exchanger to heat your water from the engine.

YOU better rethink the shower idea for awhile. I have a 379 pete with 120" ict sleeper so I'll tell you some things you need to consider.First is the cost of the truck, then theres the length(mine is 315" wheelbase)can be tough to get in and out of some places, then theres the weight(425000 is the max I can haul with 53' van).I love my truck but definitely not one for an inexperienced driver and also there are a limited number of companies you can lease to with those length, weight restrictions.
