The Rand 510 has an option to find fuel stops along route, works pretty well for deciding where you can safely make it to for your break. Only problem is it does not have all truckstops in its database, mostly smaller mom and pops.

this has most TS listed by towns for each state not the best just another tool in the box
on smaller roads i never worry there is always something small gas station, walmart, home depot, grain elevator, on ramp etc -

I've said it before on some other thread, but everybody take out your truck stop guide and make an X through Champion Travel Plaza on US59 in Shepherd.
It MIGHT get rebuilt/re-opened after the highway work gets done. Time will tell.
There is parking for a very few trucks at the corner of US59 and FM223 in Shepherd proper. It would be a Rocks sort of place if the store wasn't such a dump. -
If you find yourself there again there's a truck stop right on US31 and US24 junction, usually has parking.
